Togo, Republic. A Lot of Three Classes of the Togolese National Order of Merit, (Commander / Officer / Knight)

(Ordre National du Mérite). Instituted March 26th, 1973. A lot of three classes of the Togolese National Order of Merit, consisting of:

1. A III. Class Commander’s Cross. Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed star with dual green enameled arms, with a yellow enameled five pointed star between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a gilded central medallion bearing the Togolese Coat of Arms surrounded by a ring of red enamels inscribed “Ordre National du Merite” (National Order of Merit), the reverse plain, inscribed “Union Paix Solidarite” (Union, Peace, Solidarity), on a loop for suspension but missing its ribbon, unmarked, measuring 54.7 mm (w) x 54.6 mm (l), weighing 35.58 grams, in near mint condition. 

2. A IV. Class Officer’s Cross. Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed star with dual green enameled arms, with a yellow enameled five pointed star between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a gilded central medallion bearing the Togolese Coat of Arms surrounded by a ring of red enamels inscribed “Ordre National du Merite” (National Order of Merit), the reverse plain, inscribed “Union Paix Solidarite” (Union, Peace, Solidarity), on a loop for suspension but missing its ribbon, unmarked, measuring 41.0 mm (w) x 40.5 mm (l), measuring 18.56 grams, in near mint condition. 

3. A V. Class Knight’s Cross. Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a five-pointed star with dual green enameled arms, with a yellow enameled five pointed star between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a gilded central medallion bearing the Togolese Coat of Arms surrounded by a ring of red enamels inscribed “Ordre National du Merite” (National Order of Merit), the reverse plain, inscribed “Union Paix Solidarite” (Union, Peace, Solidarity), on a loop for suspension but missing its ribbon, unmarked, measuring 40.8 mm (w) x 40.4 mm (l), in near mint condition.
