On Site House Visits
If you are unable to visit the eMedals office or would prefer a specialist to visit you, we are happy to offer on site evaluations. You can telephone or email our office to discuss and to schedule an appointment.
eMedals purchases and brokers the sale of medals and militaria from all nationalities and all time periods. We are happy to consider any and all items that relate to military history or have relevant historical significance for either consignment or immediate purchase by eMedals itself. Whether it be individual items, large collections, or estates, all pieces are considered.
Starting the Selling Process
To begin the sale of your item(s), our in-house experts will need to carry out an initial evaluation to judge how to proceed with the sale or purchase. Here, we will determine the authenticity as well as the approximate and current market value of the item(s) using images and descriptions.
Initial Evaluation
In order to better assess how to proceed with your sale, an initial evaluation must be completed of your items. Simply upload multiple images of your item(s) using our online submission form with any relevant comments. This form can be found on our “Sell to eMedals” page. Otherwise, we are happy to assess your item(s) by email, phone, or in-office.
Shipment of Your Item(s)
Once we have completed the initial evaluation, you will be contacted by an eMedals representative, either by email or phone, to discuss shipment. To ship your item(s), please ensure that each item is packed carefully and securely. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the shipment process, including those about methods, customs, insurance, please contact our general inbox info@emedals.com for immediate assistance.

Offer
All items on eMedals.com are subject to in house inspection and evaluation for authenticity and quality prior to a final offer being made. Following this assessment, an eMedals representative will provide a formal offer via either email or phone. Brokerage of Items
eMedals is pleased to offer two methods of sale, Buy Now and Auction Sale. eMedals' advanced auction platform operates daily live auctions which present curated lots over a scheduled period of time. With competitive commission rates, our global auction process continually achieves industry high watermarks.
Ownership of Items
Throughout the consignment sale process, please note that eMedals does not any time obtain ownership of your items.
Ownership remains with the consignor until the item is sold at auction or by direct sale. Payment can be issued by Cheque, Paypal, or Wire Transfer. This process is initiated within 30 days after the sale. An invoice can be delivered for each item sold if requested by the consignor.Consignment Fees:
All auction items sold through the consignment process are subject to a 20% commission rate. A minimum individual lot value of $150.00 USD is required for all consignment listings. Consignment listings that are passed on in auction are subsequently presented in a Buy Now format. In this sale structure, a 32% commission rate applies as the direct sale price point is increased to reflect sales objectives.
Lots withdrawn by the consignor at any stage during the consignment process are subject to a $35.00 USD fee.
eMedals is pleased to offer flexible and variable layaway options to all clients. Our layaway program provides the opportunity for clients to make partial payments on an eligible item(s) over a defined period of time.
A minimum deposit of 30% of the total price of each lot, including all applicable taxes and shipping charges, is due when the lot is placed on layaway. The total price of your order must be paid within 3 (three) months from the date of original purchase. By selecting the layaway option upon checkout, you are entering into a binding contract to complete the transaction in full within a 3 month deadline. In the event that full payment is not submitted within this time structure, the contract will be automatically cancelled and relative lots will be returned to stock with the previously submitted funds retained by eMedals Inc.
Additional payments can be submitted by accessing the Order History section in your account. Please note that invoices are not automatically generated. You may pay by cash, check, wire transfer, Paypal, or credit card.
eMedals is pleased to offer daily auctions of a varying duration between 15-35 days. New auctions begin each week and each auction lot is available for viewing throughout the course of its given auction period. During this time, a potential bidder is free to ask questions, request additional photographs, and/or forward any inquiries to eMedals staff using the question submission form on the auction page, live chat or by emailing our general inbox.
Bidding Process:
Prior to submitting a bid, all eMedals accounts must be verified within the user’s account to ensure bidder validity and intent. Once registered, an individual may place a bid on any given auction lot(s). We suggest that you submit the bid representative of the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for an item. Our system will place the lowest bid necessary to establish your position as highest bidder until the maximum is surpassed. Your maximum bid reflects the amount you're willing to pay for an item, but you could end up paying less. The eMedals auction is designed to replicate the live auction experience as best as can be given its online nature. As such, and as in a live auction setting, when a bid is placed by an individual within the last minute of an auction period, additional time is subsequently granted to allow other bidders to consider their potential bids. In the case of eMedals, if a bid is placed by any auction participant within the last minute of the auction, the auction time is extended by an additional minute.
Please note that all auction lots are subject to a 22% buyers premium added to the final hammer price.
After the Hammer:
Once an auction ends, you will receive an email stating either you have won the item or you were an unsuccessful bidder. If you were indeed the highest bidder, this email will contain a link leading you to our eMedals checkout system. You can also view your auction results in the “Order History” section of your account and move forward with payment from there. Within the checkout, several shipping and payment options are available.

Economy Courier Service:
Fedex Economy provides a reliable expedited service with highly detailed tracking for all items offered on eMedals.com, regardless of size or weight. The average global delivery time is two to five days. Please note Fedex Economy does not deliver to a P.O box address.
Priority Courier Service:
Fedex Priority provides highly efficient and trackable worldwide service for all items offered on eMedals.com. Shipments within North America receive next day delivery, and the delivery time for international orders is approximately two to three days. Please note Fedex Priority does not deliver to a P.O box address.
Hold Shipment:
Buy now, ship later. Allow eMedals Inc. to hold your items while you continue to participate in auctions and explore our Buy Now items. On a future order, select “Release Shipment” to have all of your items packed and shipped together. If desired, local clientele may pick up their items at the eMedals office in Burlington, ON. Please contact customer service prior to arriving and be prepared with a valid photo ID.
