Description

(NSDAP Ringkragen für Fahnenträger). Constructed of a bronzed aluminum alloy, the obverse bearing a raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, situated within an oak leaf border, the reverse featuring a thick dark green wool liner, topped at the corners by brass clips retaining an original neck chain, with links bearing alternating raised NSDAP eagles and wreathed swastikas, with one gorget clip and two chain links bearing Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logos and maker codes of “M1/128” for Eugen Schmidhäussler, Pforzheim, the gorget measuring 22 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), demonstrating minor loss finish throughout the base metal and moderate soiling of the reverse liner (with a small patch of mothing visible to the upper left), a rare gorget retaining its matching neck chain in better than very fine condition.
