1. An Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch emanating from a circular plate, maker marked with LDO code “L/51” for E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt, measuring 46.04 mm (w) x 61.25 mm (h), weighing 31.6 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish, in very fine condition.
2. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “13” for Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, measuring 36.30 mm (w) x 44.57 mm (h), weighing 22.3 grams, demonstrating some loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A Krim Shield, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with three of four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a field-grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 53.12 mm (w) x 60.40 mm (h), weighing demonstrating minor surface oxidation to the shield, mothing of the liner, the loss of one attachment prong, and the loss of its paper backer, in very fine condition.
4. A Lübeck Hanseatic Cross, constructed of silvered copper with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with red enameled arms, bearing a central enameled Lübeck coat of arms, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914” (“FOR MERIT IN WAR 1914”), unmarked, measuring 40.82 mm (w) x 44.82 mm (h), weighing 18.2 grams, demonstrating some flecking to the enamels and the loss of its ribbon, in very fine condition.
