nstituted March 12, 1890. Franz Joseph (1890-1917). A bronze gilt medal featuring the right facing portrait of Franz Joseph, reverse bears the inscription SIGNVM LAVDIS encircled by a laurel and oak leaf wreath, the medal is surmounted by a large crown, measures 30.75 mm (w) x 51.62 mm (h - inclusive of cross adorned crown suspension), worn on original tri-fold ribbon with sword device, light wear and gilt wear, three small edge knocks to rim at 6 o’clock, remains in very fine condition.
Contained in its original case of issue, red leatherette exterior, interior lid marked SCHEID C.A. BUDAPEST, black velvet recessed medalbed, measures 63mm (w) x 109 mm (l) x 20 mm (d), wear to exterior, functional catch, in near very fine condition.
