A medal bar grouping of four medals and awards, with an additional veterans association service medals, consisting of:
1. A Gold Medal for Merit to the Republic of Austria (Goldene Medaille für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich). Instituted April 2nd, 1952. A circular gilded silver medal, the obverse depicting the Austrian National Eagle surrounded by the Coat of Arms of all nine of Austria’s states, the reverse is inscribed “Für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich” in capitalized lettering in German, on a dual loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 40.2 mm in diameter.
2. A Silver Medal for Merit to the Republic of Austria (Silberne Medaille für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich). Instituted April 2nd, 1952. A circular silver medal, the obverse depicting the Austrian National Eagle surrounded by the Coat of Arms of all nine of Austria’s states, the reverse is inscribed “Für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich” in capitalized lettering in German, on a dual loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 40.2 mm in diameter.
3. A 1964 Innsbruck Olympic Games Merit Medal. (Österreichische Olympiamedaille). A circular silver medal, the obverse depicting the Olympic logo centrally, circumscribed “IX Olympische Winterspiele Innsbruck 1964” and “für Verdienste”, the reverse bearing the Austrian National Eagle, unmarked, measuring 35.0 mm in diameter.
4. An Order of Honour for Services to the Federal State of Lower Austria. (Verdienstmedaille um den Staat Nieder-Österreich). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with a central multi-coloured enameled shield in the style of the crowned Coat of Arms of Lower Austria, the reverse is plain, unmarked, measuring 43.4 mm (w) x 44.4 mm (l).
All four medals are suspended from their period original ribbons using a concealed Austrian-style medal bar, with a horizontal pinback, measuring 98 mm wide.
5. A 25-Year Membership Medal at the Veterans Association of Lower Austria, consisting of a hexagonal silver medal, the obverse depicting the crowned Coat of Arms of Lower Austria, circumscribed by “Krieger Landesbund N.Ö” in capitalized letters in German, the reverse bears the inscription “Für 25 Jährige Treue Mitgliedschaft centrally within a partial oak and laurel wreath, suspended from dual loops using its period original tri-fold ribbon, measuring 35.0 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (l).
