In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Red Željeznog Trolista). Instituted in 1941. Cross in black lacquered non-magnetic metal alloy, silvered centrepiece with red and blue enamels, unmarked but of typical Braca Knaus of Zagreb manufacture, measuring 50.2 mm (w) x 51 mm (h), intact enamels, contact mark evident on the arm at 9 o'clock on the obverse, on its original full-length neck ribbon, near extremely fine. Accompanied by a Photograph of a Group of Seven Officers, the two central figures wearing the Award around their necks (in black and white, gloss finish, postcard style backer, stamped "Voigtländer" on the reverse, measuring 135 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), extremely fine).
Footnote: The Order of the Iron Trefoil, also known as the Croatian Cross, was the highest military decoration of the Independent State of Croatia, and it was awarded for "acts of war, achieved by personal incentive, for efforts and good leadership in ventures, which had remarkable success against the enemy." The Order had four classes: the 1st Class is worn on a ribbon around the neck, 2nd Class without the ribbon on the left chest, 3rd Class on ribbon on buttonhole, and the 4th Class on triangular ribbon on left chest. For exceptional merits the Order was awarded with Oak Leaves. The recipients of the 1st and 2nd Class had the right to the title "Vitez" (Knight).
