First belt: buckle with a two-piece construction in silvered bronze, unmarked, left side illustrating two linden leaves with the Czechoslovakia Socialist Republic coat-of-arms to the left and a belt loop to the right, right side illustrating two linden leaves with a belt loop to the left and a slotted tab to the right, when the tab is hooked around the clip on the reverse of the coat-of-arms, it secures the belt at the waistline, the buckle measuring 80 mm (w) x 48.5 mm (h) when the two pieces are linked together. Brocade dress belt in moss green embroidery with three rows of fine silver embroidered dashes and flanked by a single row of trim in silver embroidery on either side on the upper, with a light brown leather underside that is stamped in red ink "100", the belt with two silvered bronze sliders, measuring 43 mm in width x 900 mm in length, with an additional 70 mm in length folded over to the underside, exhibiting scattered silvering wear on the sliders. Second belt: buckle with a two-piece construction in bronze with a copper-coloured gilt, unmarked, left side illustrating two linden leaves with the Czechoslovakia Socialist Republic coat-of-arms to the left and a belt loop to the right, right side illustrating two linden leaves with a belt loop to the left and a slotted tab to the right, when the tab is hooked around the clip on the reverse of the coat-of-arms, it secures the belt at the waistline, the buckle measuring 80 mm (w) x 48.5 mm (h) when the two pieces are linked together. Brocade dress belt in moss green embroidery with three rows of fine yellow embroidered dashes and flanked by a single row of trim in yellow embroidery on either side on the upper, with a light brown leather underside, the belt with two sliders in bronze with a copper-coloured gilt, plus two elongated rings in bronze gilt fed through light brown leather loops along the bottom edge, measuring 43 mm in width x 1,010 mm in length, with an additional 50 mm in length folded over to the underside, exhibiting wear in the copper-coloured finish on the left side of the buckle that exposes the underlying bronze construction, along with wear present on the elongated rings. Together, very fine.
Footnote: The Czechoslovak People's Army (Czech: Československá lidová armáda, Slovak: Československá ľudová armáda = ČSLA) was the armed forces of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSC) and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic from 1954 until 1990. From 1955 it was a member force of the Warsaw Pact. On March 14, 1990, the Army's name was reverted to the Czechoslovak Army removing the adjective "People's" from the name. The Czechoslovak Army was split into the Army of the Czech Republic and the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia on January 1, 1993.
