In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
In gold with blue, white, red and green enamels, with Fleur de Lils carefully attached in each cross knee denoting 1830 + time period, weighing 10.9 grams, measuring 37.5 mm (w) x 41 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, original ribbon, only minor enamel loss evident on this example, with single Fleur de Lils (north 4 o'clock leaf) detached, otherwise near very fine.
Footnote: The Royal and Military Order of Saint Louis is a dynastic order of chivalry founded April 5, 1693 by King Louis XIV, named after Saint Louis (King Louis IX of France). It was intended as a reward for exceptional officers, notable as the first decoration that could be granted to non-nobles. By the authorities of the French Republic, it is considered a predecessor of the Legion of Honour, with which it shares the red ribbon (though the Legion of Honour is awarded to military personnel and civilians alike). Although officially abolished by the government authorities of the July Revolution in 1830 following the French Revolution, its activities carried on as a dynastic order of the formerly sovereign royal family. As such, it is still recognized by the International Commission on Orders of Chivalry.
