A Fifth Republic Knight (1962-), in silver and enamels, presenting a white Maltese cross with ball finials, green enamelled wreath segments in each quadrant, the obverse medallion in gilt featuring the right facing portrait of Marianne, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE, the reverse with two crossed French flags, with the blue inscription HONNEUR ET PATRIE 29 FLOREAL AN X, the cross is surmounted by a green enamelled wreath, measures 42.8mm (w) x 63.2mm (h – inclusive of surmounting wreath), weighs 25.1 grams, worn on a section of red ribbon, enamels intact, in very fine condition.
