(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of decorations, including:

1. A medal bar featuring three awards, including 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.56 mm (w) x 47.83 mm (h), weighing 16.3 grams, with a replacement suspension loop, in very fine condition; a Baden Silver Merit Medal, constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”), situated within an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 38.41 mm in diameter, weighing 18.9 grams, the suspension loop has been repaired and oxidation and loss of finish is evident throughout, in fair condition, and; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 37.99 mm (w) x 42.83 mm (h), weighing 14.3 grams, in extremely fine condition; all suspended from a 95 mm-long trapezoidal bar with a magnetic metal core and horizontal pinback, unmarked, in very fine condition.

2. An Oldenburg Friedrich August Cross, II Class, constructed of a blackened zink alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon consisting of a Cross Pattée with its arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August, the six o’clock arm bearing an institution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm bearing a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 40.12 mm (w) x 44.91 mm (h), weighing 24.2 grams, demonstrating loss of finish and minor oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.

3. A Hamburg Hanseatic Cross, constructed of silvered copper with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with red enameled arms, bearing a central red enameled medallion overlaid by a silver Hamburg coat of arms, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914” (“FOR MERIT IN WAR 1914”), unmarked, measuring 40.07 mm (w) x 44.07 mm (h), weighing 18.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.

4. An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Non-Combatants, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Reichsverband Pforzheim, measuring 38.11 mm (w) x 42.18 mm (h), weighing 13.0 grams, demonstrating moderate surface oxidation, in very fine condition.
