1. A Generalfeldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg badge, constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse bearing a central raised bust of the Field Marshal in uniform and with decorations visible, set within a black enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT WIRD UNS ZUM SIEGE HELFEN” (“GOD WILL HELP US TO VICTORY”), the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 30 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Central Powers badge, constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse bearing raised and rightward-facing busts of Emperor Franz Joseph, Kaiser Wilhelm II, and Sultan Mehmed V, set within a black enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT WIRD UNS ZUM SIEGE HELFEN” (“GOD WILL HELP US TO VICTORY”), the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire, unmarked, measuring 30 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
