(Königlicher Kronen-Orden Kreuz IV. Klasse). Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1869-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular blue enameled ring, bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with arabesques, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, situated within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt institution date of “DEN 18 OCTOBER 1861”, the six o’clock arm maker marked with the logo of Johann Wagner & Sohn, Berlin, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an integral loop and suspension ring connecting to a period original ribbon, the former situated on a single parade mount with a horizontal pinback and blue wool reverse liner, measuring 42.86 mm (w) x 46.77 mm (h), weighing 25.6 grams (inclusive of mount), a superb example in extremely fine condition.
