(Auszeichnungen). A pair of Bavarian awards, including:

1. A Military Merit Cross, I Class, constructed of gilded copper with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, bearing a central black enameled medallion overlaid by a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, situated within a stylized white enameled belt and buckle, bearing an inscription of “MERENTI” (“MERIT”) with arabesques, the reverse bearing a central raised Bavarian lion rampant, situated within a stylized belt and buckle bearing a raised institution date of “1866” with arabesques, the twelve o’clock arm topped by a stylized suspension culminating in a ring retaining a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 42.87 mm (w) x 50.28 mm (h), weighing 18.3 grams (inclusive of ribbon), demonstrating near-total loss of finish with surface oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.

2. A Military Commemorative Cross for 1813, 1814, and 1815, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a late-issue Officer/Enlisted ranks ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.30 mm (w) x 37.86 mm (h), weighing 12.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
