(Diensteintritts-und Traditionsabzeichen Stahlhelmbund 1919). Instituted 13 November 1933 by Franz Seldte. (1933-1939 issue). Constructed of silvered tombak with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc, overlaid by a raised and silvered Stahlhelm insignia, situated above a pair of silvered oak leaves and date of “1919”, the revere with a crimped hinge and narrow tapering pinback meeting a rounded catch, bearing an etched unit dedication of “GR. G. MAGDEBURG 126” and service commencement date of “10. 6. 1919.”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 34.86 mm in diameter, weighing 15.4 grams, demonstrating some scratching to the enamels with a minor chip to the eight o’clock position, a rare example issued to the earliest member of Der Stahlhelm in near extremely fine condition.
