An example of a Third Reich period private purchase Prussian Air Gunner Badge, constructed of die-struck silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an obal laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a bow tie-style ribbon, topped bhy a German State Crown, around a central raised German national eagle about to take off in flight, clutching a bullseye target,t he reverse with a soldered sheetmetal hinge, vertical round wire pinback, and round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 45.2 mm (w) x 72.8 mm (l), weighing 17.69 grams, an example with very fine details, in extremely fine condition.
