Germany, NSDAP. A Low-Level Political Leader’s Belt

(NSDAP Gürtel für Politische Leiter). Constructed of pressed brown leather, one end stitched into a loop to accommodate a pebble and silvered zink alloy buckle complete with attachment claws, the opposite end perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, retaining a sliding loop of identical construction to secure the eyelet end in position after fastening, the reverse of the buckle end stamped with a mark of “CROUPON” indicating high-quality back-cut leather construction, otherwise unmarked, measuring 6 cm (w) x 126 cm (l), demonstrating minor and age-appropriate material fatigue throughout, an early example of a belt featuring a silver fixture issued to low-level NSDAP Political Leaders in near extremely fine condition.
