Germany, SA. A Mint 1939 SA-Gruppe Donau Sports Competition Victor’s Plaque, with Case

Constructed of bronze-coloured bakelite, the obverse consisting of a semi-oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a banner bearing a raised inscription of “GRUPPEN WETTKÄMPFE” (“GROUP SPORTS COMPETITION”), overlaid by a sword bearing an inscription of “DEM SIEGER” (“TO THE VICTOR”), flanked by an inscription of “SA-GRUPPE DONAU 1939”, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux dark blue leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a fitted blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 90 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), in near mint condition.
