(Sturmabteilung Sport- u. Wehrwettkämpfe Medaille mit Etui). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse bearing a central raised depiction of the Sturmabteilung (SA) Sports Badge, situated above an SA insignia and date of “1938”, circumscribed by inscriptions of “SPORT- U. WEHRWETTKÄMPFE” (“SPORTS AND COMBAT COMPETITION”) and “SA-GRUPPE BAYER. OSTMARK”, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “DEM 3. SIEGER” (“TO THE THIRD PLACE VICTOR”), situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 60 mm in diameter, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a white satin lid liner and depressed blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 8.5 cm (w) x 8.5 cm (l) x 2 cm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish to the medallion with spots of oxidation also visible, in overall near extremely fine condition.
