(Deutsche und Heeres-Skimeisterschaften in Berchtesgaden. SA und SS Ski-Meisterschaften Silbernes Teilnehmerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a central enameled depiction of a ski jumper overlaying Third Reich-period flags, situated above an enameled inscription of “DEUTSCHE UND HEERES-SKIMEISTERSCHAFTEN BERCHTESGADEN 7.-12. FEB. 1934 SA. U. SS. SKI MEISTERSCHAFTEN”, the reverse with a crimped vertical pinback, maker marked “C. POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 43.54 mm (w) x 58.60 mm (h), weighing 29.9 grams, demonstrating minor flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and base metal, respectively, a rare participant’s version in extremely fine condition.
