Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Marksmanship Lanyards

(Wehrmacht Schützenschnur). A pair of Wehrmacht Marksmanship Lanyards, including:

1. A Heer Grade 6 Lanyard, constructed of aluminum,  the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, surrounding a central pebbled shield overlaid by a pair of crossed swords, affixed with three reverse attachment prongs to a silver aluminum wire lanyard which completes at each end in a loop for uniform attachment, with a single acorn emanating from the lower end, both unmarked, the shield measuring 38.90 mm (w) x 55.44 mm (h), the lanyard measuring 42 cm in length, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Luftwaffe Grade 1 Lanyard, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, affixed with four reverse attachment prongs to a lanyard constructed of slate-grey rayon threading interspersed with silver aluminum wire chevrons, completing at each end in a loop for uniform attachment, both unmarked, the shield measuring 42.35 mm (w) x 51.09 mm (h), the lanyard measuring 42 cm in length, demonstrating loss of finish to the shield, in near extremely fine condition.
