In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Zwei Deutsche Auszeichnungen). A grouping of two military medals and decorations, consisting of 1) A Cased Anschluss Commemorative Medal (Sudetenland Medaille), constructed of gilded bronze, on a dual loop for suspension from its period original replacement ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1. Oktober 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (“One People, One Nation, One Leader”), unmarked, measuring 31.9 mm in diameter, weighing 14.73 grams with its attached ribbon. Accompanied by its medal ribbon bar, with a magnetic metal core and a horizontal pinback, measuring 25 mm (w) x 18 mm (l). With its original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux maroon leather exterior liner, the lid bearing an embossed and gilded German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and slotted maroon felt medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with an exterior stud release, also unmarked, measuring 103 mm (l) x 48 mm (w) x 20 mm (h), a textbook example of this very well preserved award, in better than extremely fine condition.
2) An Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze by E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a slightly vaulted oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a sheet metal hinge that has been previously repaired, a straight pinback, and a rightward-opening stamped flat catch on a plate soldered to the badge, maker marked by “E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt am Main”, measuring 45.7 mm (l) x 60.8 mm (w), weighing 24.22 grams, with all but some of its original finish lost through age and wear, in fine condition.
