(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of badges, including:

1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “65” for Klein & Quenzer, Idar-Oberstein, measuring 36.93 mm (w) x 44.24 mm (h), weighing 12.0 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish and surface oxidation, in very fine condition.

2. A Gold Grade Wound Badge, constructed of a gilded zink alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “127” Moritz Hausch, Pforzheim, measuring 36.52 mm (w) x 44.30 mm (h), weighing 26.3 grams, demonstrating loss of gilt finish throughout the base metal, in very fine condition.

3. A Luftwaffe Western France District Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a map of France overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, topped by an inscription of “ALLES FÜR DEUTSCHLAND” (“EVERYTHING FOR GERMANY”), the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTLEISTUNGEN IM BEREICH DES FELDLUFTGAUKOMMANDOS WESTFRANKREICH” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE FIELD AIR COMMAND OF WESTERN FRANCE”), unmarked, measuring 41.16 mm in diameter, weighing 32.2 demonstrating sporadic oxidation, demonstrating minor oxidation and tarnishing to the obverse, in better than very fine condition.
