Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Belt Buckles

(Gürtelschnallen). A mixed lot of belt buckles, including;

1. A Reichswehr/Heer EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of nickel-silver, the obverse bearing a central raised Reichswehr-style German national eagle, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and laurel branches, the reverse with attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated within an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, the former retaining an original brown leather strap bearing a maker’s mark of “JUL. KEMP, LÜDENSCHEID”, surrounding a manufacture date of “1939”, notably also retaining a clip retrieved from an analogous belt, similarly constructed of aluminum and bearing a partially-legible maker’s logo (possibly for the firm of Franke & Co., Lüdenscheid) and date of “39”, the buckle measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

3. A Sturmabteilung (SA) personnel buckle, constructed of partially-silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised SA-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, situated within a ribbed ring overlaid by oak leaf branches, the reverse with attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating some loss of finish, in better than very fine condition.
