In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Luftwaffe Schwert für Offiziere). A well-preserved Luftwaffe Officer’s sword, measuring 97.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 76 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade retaining factory-original sharpened to the tip. A fuller runs approximately half of the length of each side of the blade, extending from the base to the mid-section. The reverse ricasso bears the maker’s mark of Stöcker & Co., Solingen, with its classic seated king logo. The blade sits securely within a multi-piece hilt, with an intact dark blue leather buffer pad covering the seam. An aluminum alloy crossguard is executed in the form of a pair of stylized wings with detailed feathering. Each side features a central gilded sunwheel-style mobile swastika. The handle grip is composed of a wooden core wrapped in a ribbed dark blue Moroccan leather liner, with the ribbing retaining an original twisted and rolled wire cord. A flattened and rounded aluminum alloy pommel completes the sword, screwing in to maintain its structural integrity, is decorated along the edge with oak leaves, and features double-sided sunwheel-style mobile swastikas, similarly executed in gilt. Accompanying the sword is its original scabbard, constructed of a magnetic metal shaft wrapped on the exterior with a dark blue Moroccan leather shaft. Aluminum alloy fixtures are secured to both the tip and throat with dual side rivets. Two integral loops emanate from the sides of the latter and retain an original hanger, similarly constructed of dark blue Moroccan leather and topped by a loop for uniform suspension. A functional catch situated within the throat firmly holds the sword in place during storage. Staining consistent with exposure to nicotine is visible throughout the metal and leather elements, with a slight odour also evident, but the sword demonstrates not notable damage or wear and remains in an extremely fine condition.
