(Heer Wehrpässe). An interesting pair of Wehrpässe, including:
1. One constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 54 paginated interior pages, featuring stamped and handwritten entries to Alois Barus, a native of Vienna who was born on 25 May 1924, entered Wehrmacht service in 1942, and who served with staff units of a number of Ersatz und Ausbildungs (Replacement and Replenishment) units on the Eastern Front, Barus was notably trained on the Gewehr 98k rifle and the MG 34 machine gun and completed a sniper course from 14 September-6 October 1943, immediately followed by participation in an operation on the Eastern Front from 29 October-29 December 1943, retaining a certified studio portrait of the bearer, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. One constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 54 paginated interior pages, featuring stamped and handwritten entries to Johann Holzweber, a native of Reichenaus am Freiwald who was born on 24 March 1916, entered Wehrmacht service in 1938, serving with Infanterie-Regiment 132 from 1 December 1938 until 10 June 1942, receiving the Black Grade Wound Badge on 13 February 1942 (in addition to an undated Sudetenland Medal), promoted to Gefreiter on 1 October 1939 and Obergefreiter on 1 January 1941, killed in action in Russia on 10 June 1942, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
