In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schiffchen M35 für Mannschaften). A well-preserved Heer EM/NCO’s M45 overseas cap, constructed of field-grey wool. It is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which are scalloped toward the front. The crown is flanked by ventilation holes reinforced with zink grommets. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 60 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the front features an additional insignia consisting of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade, measuring 35 mm (w) x 35 mm (h). The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece slate-grey cotton/rayon blended liner. Stamped onto the crown is a maker’s mark of “MÜTZENFABRIK BREITER, MÜNCHEN” for the firm of Adalbert Breiter, with manufacture date of “1939”, and a size mark of “55”. Also stitched onto the liner is a white cotton tag bearing red embroidered owner’s initials “AD”. Measuring approximately 26.5 cm (l) x 11 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface, it demonstrates minor fatigue to the nap of the wool through the exterior base material, slight fraying of the eagle insignia, and sporadic soiling of the interior liner.
