In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

This is a fine Torpedoboot Kondor Mützenband/cap tally; constructed of golden embroidery on a black rayon backer; measuring 146 cm x 3.2 cm; near very fine condition with some slight yet noticeable soiling from wear.
Footnote: The Torpedoboot Kondor operated between 1926 and 1944 in the Reichsmarine. She was laid down in 1927, launched on July 28th, 1928, and laid to rest in 1944. She saw action on the coast of Spain, in the waters in Norway, France and Italy, where her main duties consisted of laying mines and hunting down and destroying blockade runners. She was heavily damaged by British mines and air-attacks on the coast of France in 1944. On its journey back to Germany, she was attacked again by British aircraft near the northern coast of France. She was deemed irreparable and scuttled later the same year.
