Germany, Third Reich. A Complete Set of Luftwaffe Flak Lieutenant Rank Insignia

(Luftwaffe Leutnant Rangabzeichen). A complete set of Luftwaffe Lieutenant rank insignia, consisting of a pair of left and right collar tabs, as well as a set of uniform removed sewn-on shoulder boards. 

1) The Lieutenant rank collar tabs are a matching set, constructed of a buckram core, with a bright red wool upper, with a single gull and two oak wreath twigs on the obverse in high quality flat and rolled silver aluminum embroidery, with thin twisted silver aluminum piping around the edges of the tabs, measuring 60 mm (w) x 43 mm (l), partially oxidized along the piping along the edges, and in overall near very fine condition. 

2) The Lieutenant rank shoulder boards are a matching set, each constructed of red wool with card stock cores and topped by four brands of silver aluminum wire piping,with a slit at one end for the addition of a button, measuring 112 mm (w) x 32 mm (l), an uniform removed pair, in overall near very fine condition.
