Description

(Legion Condor Flak-Abteilung F/88 Erinnerungs-Plakette). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised topographical map of Spain, overlaid by a wheeled Flak gun, topped by a droptail-style Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, in turn situatd below a banner bearing an inscription of “LEGION-CONDOR” and unit dedication of “5 F. 88” indicating issue to personnel of Flak-Abteilung (mot.) F/88, in turn above dates “1936-1938”, situated within a period black painted wooden frame, the reverse topped by a magnetic metal suspension loop, unmarked, measuring 21 cm (w) x 25 cm (h) overall, a superb unit-attributed memento of the Condor Legion in extremely fine condition.
