Germany, Third Reich. A Grouping of Eight Stick Pins

(Acht Deutsche Anstecknadeln). A grouping of eight third reich period German stick pins, consisting of:

1) A SA (Sturmabteilung) membership stick pin, constructed of bronze, with a 58 mm long vertical pin needle attached to the reverse (previously repaired), measuring 15.2 mm.

2) A RAD (Reicharbeitsdienst) membership stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze with red, white, and black enamels, with a 49 mm long vertical pin needle attached to the reverse, marked “B.S.W” on the reverse, measuring 16.2 mm (l) x 21.6 mm (w).

3) A HJ (Hitlerjugend) membership stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze, with red, white, and black enamels, with a 49 mm long vertical pin needle attached to the reverse, marked “RZM M1/52” on the reverse for manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, measuring 10.4 mm (w) x 16.6 mm (l). 

4) A Wehrmacht Infantry Assault badge in bronze stick pin, constructed of bronzed zink, with a 50mm long vertical pin needle attached to the reverse, unmarked, measuring 12.3 mm (w) x 16.6 mm (l). 

5) A RJA Reichs Youth Sport Proficiency badge stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze, with a 58 mm long vertical pin needle attached to the reverse, maker marked “Wernstein, Jena” on the reverse, measuring 15.6 in diameter.

6) A RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund) membership stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze and black enamels, with a 30 mm long knurled but broken-off stick pin, unmarked, measuring 27.6 mm (w) x 15.1 mm (l).

7) A civilian issue pilot’s stick pin, constructed of gilded bronze, with a 46 mm long knurled vertical pin needle, measuring 36.2 mm (w) x 10.9 mm (l).

8) A marksmanship competition stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze, with blue, black, and white enamels, with a 50 mm long vertical pin needle, marked “SOH - 27.8.50” on the reverse, measuring 17.2 grams.

A fine grouping of eight third reich period German stick pins, all in worn condition, some with damage to the pin, and others with some damage to the enamels, but the grouping in overall better than fine condition.
