Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Three Miniature Service Awards (SS / Westwall / Italo-German Africa Campaign)

A lot of three Third Reich German miniature service awards, consisting of:

1. A Miniature SS Long Service Award, III. Class for 8 Years. Constructed of patinated bronze, on loop for suspension from a correct replacement ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised swastika, overlaid by a central wreath double Sig runes, the reverse bearing a raised number “8”, overlaid by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS”), unmarked, measuring 15.55 mm in diameter, weighing 2.33 grams.

2. A Miniature Westwall Medal. Constructed of bronze, on a loop for suspension from its period original shortened ribbon, the obverse with a crossed shovel and sword in the centre, and a concrete pillbox/bunker directly below, with a German national eagle above all within an oak leaf wreath, the reverse inscribed “Für Arbeit zum schutze Deutschlands” (For labour for the protection of Germany) within an oak wreath; measuring 13.3 mm (w) x 19.4 mm (l), weighing 3.07 grams inclusive of its ribbon.

3. A Miniature Italo-German Africa Campaign Medal. Constructed of bronze, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with central Arco dei Fileni of Brega, flanked by a fasces and swastika, the reverse with a raised image of German and Italian soldiers grappling a crocodile, measuring 15.4 mm in diameter, weighing 3.43 grams.
