In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Kriegsmarine Lederjacke für Maschinenpersonal). A well-preserved Kriegsmarine Ledermantel (leather jacket), constructed of multiple panels of pressed and blackened leather. It features a short upturned collar, a single pocket located at the upper left breast, and two additional pockets situated near the waist. The jacket closes with five silvered bronze buttons, each bearing raised fouled anchors, fastened to the right flap and meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. The interior is fully lined with a multi-piece dark grey wool liner, with a single pocket located at the upper right breast. Each armpit also features a multi-piece rayon reinforced securedly stitched in position. The jacket measures approximately 48 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 60 cm, and an overall body length of 74 cm. Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include material fatigue, desiccation, and fading throughout the leather (including some tearing of the left shoulder seam), loss of silver finish to the buttons, and sporadic stitched repairs to the interior liner. A superb example of a leather garment worn by mechanical and engine room personnel aboard Kriegsmarine vessels, this jacket remains in a very fine condition.
