(Schlesischer Adler II. Klasse). A pair of Silesian Eagles, II Class, including:
1. One constructed of tombak, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle clutching a silvered banner in its talons bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), overlaid across its chest by a silvered Brustmond, the reverse with four visible prongs securing the obverse features in position, topped by an integral loop and suspension ring retaining a replacement ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.42 mm (w) x 46.41 mm (h), weighing 16.5 grams, demonstrating loss of gilt finish throughout the base metal, in better than very fine condition.
2. One constructed of a blackened zink alloy, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle clutching a silvered banner in its talons bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), overlaid across its chest by a silvered Brustmond, the reverse with four visible prongs securing the obverse features in position, topped by an integral loop and suspension ring retaining a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 31.00 mm (w) x 45.17 mm (h), weighing 9.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
