In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Feuerschutzpolizei Bajonett für Unteroffiziere). A well-preserved Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Police) NCO’s dress bayonet, measuring 39 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge. The blade sits securely within a nickel-plated magnetic metal hilt which features classic dual curved quillons, with an intact blackened leather buffer pad covering the seam. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip, and are fastened in position with dual magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is a period scabbard, constructed of a blackened magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft to the accommodation of a frog. The former is included and constructed of multiple panels of blackened leather which are stitched and riveted into a loop for belt suspension. A functional catch situated within the throat firmly holds the bayonet in place during storage. Stamped onto the shaft just beneath the throat is an issue number of “3130” Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include some running marks to the blade, moderate loss of finish to the scabbard with minor denting, and some fatigue to the frog. It remains in a better than very fine condition.
