(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Heer pith helmet emblem, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a black shield bearing a raised and silvered Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse retaining all three attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 36 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish and oxidation, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A DRL Sports Badge, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a ribbon defaced by a mobile swastika, surrounding stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “FERD. WAGNER” for the Pforzheim-based firm of Ferdinand Wagner, measuring 39.32 mm (h) x 48.28 mm (h), weighing 21.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. A Motor-SA Österreic (Austria) faithful service badge, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, the reverse stamped with an issue number of “675”, unmarked, measuring 70 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), demonstrating moderate loss of finish throughout, in better than very fine condition.
4. A 1938 Anschluss referendum propaganda badge, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “PH. TÜRK WWE, WIEN” for the firm of Phillip Türks Witwe, measuring 40 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
