(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “26” for B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim, Pforzheim, measuring 36.49 mm (w) x 43.66 mm (h), weighing 22.5 grams, demonstrating total loss of silver finish throughout the base metal, a late-war example in very fine condition.
2. A Heer Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s sleeve insignia, constructed of field-grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured edelweiss, situated within a knotted border topped by a piton, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.
3. A German Marksmanship Association air rifle proficiency badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, vertical pinback, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 22 mm (w) x 32 mm (h), missing its hanger, in very fine condition.
4. A field-made fob featuring Finnish Northern Front Badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, affixed to a Norwegian ski medallion, on a dual eyelet suspension with an original leather string, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Hopeatakomo Oy, Helsinki, measuring 30 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in very fine condition.
