A lot of two Imperial Romanian orders and medals, consisting of:
1. An Order of the Crown of Romania, V. Class Knight with Swords. (Ordin Corona României). Instituted with swords on December 21st, 1916. Type II (1932-1947 issue). A Maltese Cross constructed of silvered bronze with red and white enamels featuring silver Royal Crowns and crossed swords in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central red enamelled medallion decorated with the Royal Cypher of Carol surrounded by a band of white enamels inscribed with “Prin Noi Insine” (By Ourselves) in Latin, the reverse with a central red enamelled medallion inscribed “10. Maiu” (May 10th), surrounded by a band of white enamels dated “1866”, “1877”, and “1881”, suspended from a swivel crown and swivel ring for suspension from its period original war issue ribbon, measuring 39.0 mm (w) x 40.9 mm (l), weighing 21.12 grams, with the silver finish worn off in spots thus revealing the bronze underneath, in near very fine condition.
2. A Loyal Service Medal, II. Class Silver, (Medalia Serviciul Credincios). Type I 1878-1932 issue, consisting of a circular silver medal, the obverse depicting the Coat of Arms of Romania, the reverse is inscribed “Serviciul Credinciosu” in capitalized lettering within a partial laurel and oak wreath, suspended from a hollow swivel crown suspension using a period original tri-fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 30.7 mm in diameter, weighing 20.67 grams inclusive of its ribbon, in near extremely fine condition.
