A medal bar for distinguished labour and Second World War service to Vladimir Nikitovich Osipenko, featuring five awards, including:
1. An Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Type VI, Variation II, constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of a cogwheel with white enamels filling the voids between the spokes, the edges bearing an inscription of “ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!” (“WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!”), surrounding a central depiction of a hydroelectric dam with water executed in blue enamels, overlaid by a raised and gilded sickle and hammer, surrounded by a gilded oak leaf wreath, topped by a red enameled flag bearing initials “СССР” (“USSR”), set above wheat stalks joined together at the centre by a red enameled five-pointed star, the reverse maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, engraved with an award number of “942785”, measuring 37.06 mm (w) x 47.58 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. An Order of the Badge of Honour, Type IV, Variation I, constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top by a red-enameled five-pointed star, overlaid by two raised figures clutching red enameled banners bearing an inscription of “ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!” (“WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!”), situated above a plaque bearing a gilt inscription of “ЗНАК ПОЧЕТА” (“BADGE OF HONOUR”), the reverse maker marked “МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР” for the Soviet Mint, engraved with an award number of “522929”, measuring 33.75 mm (w) x 50.52 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. A Medal for Victory Over Germany in the Great Patriotic War, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised bust of Josef Stalin, circumscribed by inscriptions of “НАШЕ ДЕЛО ПРАВОЕ” (“OUR CAUSE IS RIGHTEOUS”) and “МЫ ПОБЕДИЛИ” (“WE ARE VICTORIOUS”), the reverse bearing a five-pointed star at the bottom edge, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “ЗА ПОБЕДУ НАД ГЕРМАНИЕЙ” (“FOR VICTORY OVER GERMANY”), surrounding a central raised inscription of “В ВЕЛИКОЙ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННОЙ ВОЙНЕ 1941—1945 ГГ.” (“IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR of 1941-1945”), unmarked, measuring 32.17 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
4. A Veteran of Labour Medal, constructed of a silvered alloy, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing raised initials “СССР” (“USSR”), situated within rays and above a laurel branch, defaced by a hammer and sickle, and situated above a banner bearing an inscription of “ВЕТЕРАН ТРУДА” (“VETERAN OF LABOUR”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “ЗА ДОЛГОЛЕТНИЙ ДОБРОСОВЕСТНЫЙ ТРУД” (“FOR LONG AND DILIGENT WORK”), unmarked, measuring 34.15 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
5. A Medal in Commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of Leningrad, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.06 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
All suspended from a 150 mm-long bar consisting of five overlaid aluminum backplates, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, demonstrating minor soiling to the ribbons, in near extremely fine condition.
6. An award booklet, constructed of a card stock binding with non-paginated interior pages, named to “ВЛАДИИМИР НИКИТОВИЧ ОСИПЕНКО” (“VLADIMIR NIKITOVICH OSIPENKO”), featuring a handwritten entry for the Order of the Red Banner of Labour with matching award number, dated 4 March 1974, issued 2 August 1974, measuring 75 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
