A photograph of King Milan Obrenović I of Serbia with his son and future King Alexander I, mounted on a cardstock backer, with writing in black pen on the obverse near the bottom of the picture reading “Kralj Milan Obrenović” and “Aleksandar”, the carstock maker marked on the buttom as well as on the reverse, measuring 134 mm (w) x 204 mm (l), signs present of having been previously mounted, in overall very fine condition.
Footnote: King Milan Obrenović was born on August 22nd, 1854 and died February 11th, 1904. He served as the Prince of Serbia from June 10th 1868 - March 6th 1882 and as the King of Serbia from March 6th 1882 - March 6th, 1889. King Alexander I of Serbia was born August 14th 1876 and died June 11th, 1903. He and is wife, Draga Masin, were assassinated by a group of Royal Serbian Amy officers, led by Captain Dragutin Dimitrijevic.
