A rare Longines pocket watch from the prominent manufacturer Longines via the retailer Milan T. Stefanovic, Belgrade, comprised of a heavy silvered non-ferrous metal casing, the obverse featuring a white dial face with an intact glass crystal, the former with black Roman numerals 1-12 graded at intervals of five between edge digit, topped by additional Arabic numbers 13-24 in red for use as a 24-hour clock, with number and minutes hands and an additional 60 stopwatch, the reverse bearing a carefully-engraved featuring the Serbian Coat of Arms with Serbian inscription around the exterior and date 1928-1930, topped by a functional ribbed wind-up dial, the reverse opening on a functional swivel hinge to reveal a hatch marked LONGINES 10 GRAND PRIX, with Longines trademark used from 1889-1905, and serial number along the edge of the case 5132443 and exposed internal mechanisms, marked LONGINES with serial number, the pocket watch measuring 49.3mm (w) x 62.1mm (h), exhibiting scratches to exterior and heavy fading/wear of the engraving on the reverse, the white dial bearing numerous cracks and a chip at the 10 o’clock edge, not functioning, a rare pocket watch, in near very fine condition.
