Slovakia. A 1990 Slovak World Congress Anniversary Table Medal, With Case

Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised leftward-facing profile of Štefan Boleslav Roman, circumscribed by name and inscriptions of “20. VÝOČIE SVETOVÉHO KONGRESU SLOVÁKOV” (“20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WORLD CONGRESS OF SLOVAKIA”) and “KTO ZA PRAVDU HORÍ V SVÄTEJ OBETI” (“WHO BURNS THE HOLY SACRIFICE IN TRUTH”), with dates “1970-1990”, the reverse bearing a stylized patriotic map of Slovakia, the obverse bearing an illegible maker’s mark, measuring 70 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a maroon canvas exterior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner and depressed maroon velvet medal bed, opening with a functional bronze snap button and hinge, unmarked, measuring 115 mm (w) x 115 mm (h) x 30 mm (h), with minor material fatigue evident to the case, in overall extremely fine condition.
