Slovakia, I Republic. A Rare Hlinka Guard Nco’s Overseas Cap

A rare and extremely well-preserved Hlinka Guard (HG) overseas cap, constructed of black wool. It is fully surrounded by side panels which taper and overlap at the front. Emanating from the crown is a black threaded tassel which hangs down over the left side, secured the the panel with a single piece of stitching to ensure functionality without compromising aesthetics. Also stitched onto the left panel is a dark blue rayon band, overlaid by a HG insignia consisting of a white disc bearing a red embroidered Slovak Cross. The interior features a brown leather sweatband measuring 20 mm in width, and is fully encompassed by a multi-piece black rayon liner. It measures approximately 265 mm (l) x 105 mm (h) when folded on a flat surface. With only minor soiling evident, the cap demonstrates no fatigue or damage and is in an overall extremely fine condition.
