In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Hardcover, indigo blue cloth exterior, with metal reinforcing brackets on all four corners, entitled "KALENDAR HSLS 1943" (Hlinkovej Slovenskej Ludovej Strany), with the text embossed on the cover and spine in gold-coloured ink. It was issued by the General Secretariat of the Hlinka Slovak People's Party, published by the Party in its Printing House in Bratislava, at an original cost to the purchaser of 10 Koruna. The information in the book was compiled by Dr. Jozef Paučo, with the assistance of three main collaborators: the text by Karol Lukáč, the cover design and drawings by Ludo Ilecko and engravings by Gregor Cut. The front cover fly page features a four-colour illustration of a woman holding a young child, with a Slovakian army soldier standing beside her, the page backed by an advertisement promoting Wanderer-Werke made typewriters, while the back cover fly page features advertisements for the Sedliacka and Ludova Banks. It contains 592 pages printed in black ink, on a coated newsprint paper stock, with multiple line graphics and advertisements placed at random intervals throughout the publication. It also houses an additional thirty-two pages featuring multiple dual-tone photographs inserted at two locations: sixteen pages between pages 32 and 33 (the lead photo is that of Jozef Gašpar Tiso), plus sixteen pages inserted between pages 320 and 321. It also has a three-colour advertisement for Melta Coffee Mixture angularly inserted between page 448 and the first page of ads. It concludes with 116 pages of ads, followed by a List of Annual Markets and Fairs in Slovakia, along with a List of Contents. It measures 165 mm (w) x 245 mm (h) x 32 mm (d), with a large piece missing on the front cover fly page, fraying in the bottom corner on all pages beginning on page 417 until the conclusion of the book, along with foxing throughout. Fine.
