(Orden de la Cruz de San Raimundo de Peñafort). Instituted 1944. In 18K Gold and diamonds, tested, insignia in silvered Gold with red, white, yellow and blue enamels, mounted to a cross-shaped base in silvered Gold with white enamels, diamonds placed at each of the eight star points representing the ball finials, measuring 23.5 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), wreath of laurel leaves design on the button hole attachment, intact enamels, near extremely fine. In its jeweller's case, olive green fabric exterior, inside lid lined in white satin and maker marked "José Luis Joyero Narvaez Madrid", slotted black felt medal bed, measuring 49.8 mm (w) x 53.2 mm (h) x 38.5 mm (d), scuffed exterior, weakened hinge, case near fine.
Footnote: The Order Of The Cross of St. Raymond Of Penafort was instituted on January 23, 1944 by General Francisco Franco. It is awarded for services to law and justice, in the following grades: Cross of Merit, Cross of Honour, Cross of Distinction Class 1, Cross of Distinction Class 2, Knight and Medals of Judicial Merit.
