Spain, Franco Period. An Order of Cisneros, Commander, by Cejalvo, with Case

(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted March 8, 1944 by General Francisco Franco. A silver gilt and red enamelled Maltese cross with large ball finials, five silver arrows in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features a black enamelled bird with a yellow sun behind its head, the reverse plain with two large rivets, measures 53.6 mm (w) x 59.5 mm (h),  worn on a long section of neck ribbon, enamel damage on the eagle and the 3 o’clock arm, in near very fine condition.

Contained in its original case of issue, a hardshell brown leatherette exterior with superimposed Spanish coat of arms insignia, the interior silk lid denoting manufacture by Cejalvo, a black velvet removable medalbed, measures 115 mm (w) x 150 mm (l) x 35 mm (d), functioning hinge and clasp, light wear, in extremely fine condition.
