Russia, Soviet Union. A Lot of Three Orders of Maternal Glory, All Three Grades, c. 1948

(Orden Materinskaya Slava). Instituted July 8th, 1944. A lot of three Soviet Orders of Maternal Glory, consisting of:

1. I. Class - two-piece construction, in silver with red, white, and light blue enamels, the obverse with “Order of Maternal Glory” and “I” within red enamels, maker marked by the Moscow Mint, and numbered “425366” on the reverse, on a swivel loop for suspension from a hanger in silver gilt and enamels with a horizontal pinback, measuring 29.5 mm (w) x 40.8 mm (l) not including its hanger, the soviet red enameled five-pointed star previously re-attached, in near very fine condition.

2. II. Class - two-piece construction, in silver with blue, white, and light blue enamels, the obverse with “Order of Maternal Glory” and “II” within blue enamels, maker marked  by the Moscow Mint and numbered “1577791” on  the reverse, on a swivel loop for suspension from a hanger in silver and enamels, missing its horizontal pinback, measuring 29.2 mm (w) x 41.1 mm (l) not including its hanger, in very fine condition.

3. III. Class - two-piece construction, in silver with white and light blue enamels, the obverse with “Order of Maternal Glory” and “II”, maker marked by the Moscow Mint and numbered “1738743” on the reverse, on a swivel loop for suspension from a hanger in silver with a horizontal pinback, measuring 29.5 mm (w) x 40.4 mm (l) not including its hanger, in better than very fine condition.
