Yugoslavia, Republic. An Order of the Yugoslav Flag, I. Class Breast Star, c.1955

(Orden Jugoslovenske Zastave). Instituted November 26th, 1947. (c. 1955). Of multi-piece construction in silver, silver gilt, and red, white, and blue enamels, the obverse consisting of a silver star with ten large rays with smaller rays inbetween the arms, with a five-pointed textured star applied to the obverse with peaked rays inbetween the arms of the star, with a central silver gilt laurel wreath tied together at the base bearing a Yugoslavian flag in red, white, and blue enamels, the reverse plain, with three metal rivets and a tall barrel hinge, tapered broad vertical pinback, and broad wire catch, unmarked, measuring 78.30 mm (w) x 81.9 mm (l), weighing 124.00 grams, with fine patina from age in wear, with the enamels well preserved, in overall near extremely fine condition.
