This well preserved photograph of Bechara El Khoury measures at 235 mm (l) x 175 mm (w) and is accompanied by a short, handwritten note below that reads “Au Marquis et à la Marquise de Villaverde, en souvenir de leur passage au Liban, et avec mes meilleurs voeux du bonheur, Julien. Le 8 April 1952”. This photograph was gifted to the Marquis and Marquess of Villaverde by the President of Lebanon in 1952. It is signed by the photographer on the bottom left-hand side of the photograph, and is surrounded by a two-toned border. The photograph is in extremely fine condition and is housed in a larger pamphlet measuring 35.5 cm (l) x 26 cm (w), also in excellent condition.
Footnote: Bechara El Khoury served as the first President of Lebanon, holding office from 1943 to 1952.
