1. A 1927 edition of “The Red Knight of Germany: The Story of Baron von Richthofen”, by Floyd Gibbons, constructed of a card stock binding with a black canvas exterior liner, the cover bearing a title and author’s name in red, the interior content consisting of 383 paginated pages featuring a detailed wartime biography of von Richthofen, supplemented by a list of victories, published in 1927 by Garden City Publishing, New York, measuring 14.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), demonstrating minor discolouration and material fatigue (the latter including the separation of a small number of pages near the conclusion), in very fine condition.
2. A 1943 edition of “Hermann Göring: Werk und Mensch” by Erich Gritzbach, constructed of a card stock binding with a beige and yellow exterior liner, the cover bearing a title in brown ink, the spine featuring the insignia of organizations under Göring’s patronage (the NSDAP, the Luftwaffe, the Forest Administration, and the German Hunting Society), the interior content consisting of 349 paginated interior pages featuring a detailed biography of Göring and his activities in the Third Reich, supplemented by black-and-white images, initially published in 1937 by Franz Eher Nachfolger (the publishing house of the NSDAP in Munich) and reprinted in 1943, measuring 14 cm (w) x 21.5 cm (h), demonstrating moderate discolouration and material fatigue throughout, in very fine condition.
3. A 1972 edition of “The Mind of AH” by Walter C. Langer, constructed of a card stock binding with a black canvas exterior liner, with the name and title printed on the spine in silvered lettering, the interior content consisting of 306 paginated interior pages
featuring Langer’s infamous psychological profile of AH, published in 1972 by Basic Books, New York measuring 15 cm (w) x 21.5 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue and missing its dust jacket, in very fine condition.
4. A 1983 edition of “Badges and Insignia of the Third Reich: 1933-1945” by Brian Leigh Davis, constructed of a card stock binding and retaining its original dust jacket, the interior content consisting of 208 paginated pages featuring black-and-white photographs and full-colour plates (the latter illustrated by Malcolm McGregor) of personnel and insignia of both the Wehrmacht and myriad of state and civil organizations of the Third Reich, all numbered to correspond with detailed captions, published in 1983 by Blandford Press, Poole (distributed in the United States by Sterling Publishing, New York), measuring 19.5 cm (w) x 25 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
5. A copy of “The Official 1985 Price Guide to Collectibles of the Third Reich” by Colonel Robert H. Rankin, constructed of a paper stock binding with 287 paginated interior pages featuring black-and-white photos of Third Reich militaria accompanied by contemporary prices, published by the House of Collectibles, Orlando, an interesting look at market prices from an earlier period of militaria collecting in near extremely fine condition.
